Become the person you've always wanted to be

There’s only so much time we each have on this Earth, and it’s such a shame that we can spend so much of this precious time feeling things we don’t want to feel, thinking things that damage our sense of self or others, and acting in ways that sabotage happiness and growth. Many of us have experienced deeply troubling or even traumatic events which have helped shape how we currently think and feel and act.

At the time of those events, we did the best we could, we figured out how to make the most out of things, and we survived. But now that we are older, we have power, resources and skills to change patterns that are holdovers from those earlier times. Even though the patterns may have been useful and necessary at one time, they may now be holding us back. It’s time to move beyond just surviving or just getting by. It is time to thrive.

Therapy is a place to mourn any losses that have come our way and any events or experiences or people who have helped shape us in ways that aren’t ultimately healthy for us. Therapy is a means to heal from these events and to create new ways of being in the world. It is an opportunity to try out different things, shed patterns that restrain you, and create a new way of interacting with yourself and others. Therapy is the place to identify your values, your dreams, your goals, your vision of who you want to be, and where you can begin to experience yourself in these new ways, with guidance, support and encouragement.
